Córdoba, Buenavista & Pijao Day Trip

The adventure begins at 9 am at Parque Principal de Calarcá. From there, we will board an all-terrain vehicle and travel south towards the stunning Colombian coffee-growing axis, a renowned cultural and geographical area in the nation.

As we traverse the countryside, we will gaze upon the numerous plantations that define this region. Expect to see flourishing fields of banana, avocado, citrus trees, and, of course, abundant coffee!

After approximately 40 minutes of travel, our first stop will be in Buenavista, a quaint village rich in tradition within the Quindío area. The village's name translates to 'good view' in Spanish, inspired by the breathtaking panoramas available from its vantage points in the Cauca Valley. You will witness these views firsthand at the popular viewpoint. While visiting, we will enjoy a traditional coffee and have the opportunity to wander through the historic center, where we will admire the the Plaza de Bolívar and the local church.

Following Buenavista, we will proceed to Córdoba, a picturesque village enveloped by the verdant foliage of the Colombian coffee realm. Here, we will discuss the evolution of this community since its inception at the beginning of the 20th century while savoring another cup of coffee.

Our next destination will be Pijao, often referred to as the leisurely village. As we navigate its charming streets, we'll share the story behind this affectionate moniker!

In need of a meal? We'll replenish our energy with a delicious lunch, featuring traditional Colombian sancocho (a savory broth), sausages, beans, and a complimentary drink. Depending on the day's itinerary, lunch will be served in either Pijao or Córdoba.

After enjoying our meal, we will make our way back to the vehicle for the return journey, concluding the excursion at our point of origin.
