Join us for an unforgettable day trip to Kangaroo Island, where the wonders of nature unfold in spectacular fashion. Discover the unique local wildlife, wander through national parks, and take in breathtaking landscapes in this enchanting Australian destination.

Trip Overview

At the scheduled departure time, we will collect you from the Central Bus Station in Adelaide to kick off our excursion to Kangaroo Island.

As we make our way to the Cape Jervis ferry terminal, enjoy beautiful vistas of the Fleurieu Peninsula, characterized by its undulating hills, vineyards, and stunning coastal scenery.

Upon reaching the port, we will board the SeaLink ferry for a journey to Penneshaw. This 45-minute crossing allows for exceptional views of the Backstairs Passage strait.

Upon landing on Kangaroo Island, we will use a vehicle to traverse this stunning haven. Our first destination will be the Seal Bay Conservation Park, where a guided beach tour will let you stroll among a colony of Australian sea lions. These magnificent animals are currently facing a risk of extinction.

Following this exploration, we will indulge in a two-course lunch at a local restaurant, providing the perfect opportunity to recharge before continuing our journey. Refreshed, we will head into Flinders Chase National Park, renowned for its remarkable recovery after the devastating bushfire in 2020.

Throughout this adventure, spot koalas, echidnas, reptiles, and kangaroos in their natural environments. We will also visit iconic landmarks such as the Remarkable Rocks, a series of stunning rock formations seeming to belong to another world, and Admirals Arch, a natural rock formation inhabited by long-nosed fur seals.

Our journey will culminate at the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, where you can feed kangaroos and get up close to adorable koalas, all while learning interesting facts about these creatures from their caretakers.

Finally, we will return to Penneshaw for the ferry ride back to Cape Jervis before reboarding the bus to Adelaide. Our day will wrap up with farewells at the original meeting point after approximately 15 hours and 45 minutes of exploration.
