The adventure begins as we meet at the Alcocéber Tourist Office at the stipulated time, ready to embark on our journey to the San José Caves, a remarkable site located in the Valencia region.

After a scenic hour on the road, we will reach the San José Caves, which are situated in Vall d'Uixo, within the stunning Sierra Espadán Natural Park. Are you excited to discover the longest navigable underground river in Europe?

Our exploration of the caves will span approximately 40 minutes, featuring a delightful boat ride along an 800-meter (about half a mile) subterranean river, followed by a walking tour through a dry gallery that extends 255 meters (835 feet). Prepare to be amazed by the captivating underground landscape that awaits you!

During our journey, we will share intriguing facts about the San José Caves. For example, the cave sustains a constant temperature of 20 degrees Celsius throughout the year. Moreover, despite thorough investigations by speleologists, the source of the river remains a mystery, as does the final destination of the cave.

Once we finish exploring the San José Caves, we will head to Calzados Segarra, where we will visit the museum of the oldest footwear company in Spain, established in 1882, and learn about its rich history.

After five hours, we will wrap up our extraordinary excursion to the San José Caves and make our way back to Alcocéber.
