Day Trip Overview
At the scheduled time, our team will collect you from your Maceió hotel to commence our 2-hour drive towards the estuary of the São Francisco River. Let the adventure begin!
As we board the vehicle, we will cover a distance of 110 kilometers (68 miles) to reach our initial destination, the municipality of Piaçabuçu, situated alongside this majestic river. Here, you will have the opportunity to dive into the local culture, which is deeply intertwined with the river's significance.
During our stop in Piaçabuçu, you’ll have the chance to visit the Maraná restaurant, where you can savor a variety of traditional dishes from this coastal village at your own pace before we embark on the day’s primary activity.
Recharged, we will then embark on our exploration of the estuary of the São Francisco River. Board a comfortable boat, and prepare for a delightful 3-hour cruise through Velho Chico. This scenic journey will lead us to the breathtaking dunes. On one side, you'll catch sight of Alagoas, and on the other, Sergipe, as we navigate the border between these two vibrant states.
Enjoy the lush landscapes and observe the daily life of the local inhabitants as we glide along, taking in the mesmerizing sight of the river meeting the ocean. Keep your eyes open for the abandoned lighthouse on a former island—it's a hidden gem!
Upon completing the riverboat journey, we'll disembark back in Piaçabuçu, where transportation will be waiting to return you to your original Maceió location. The entire excursion will conclude approximately 10 hours after the initial pickup.

At the time of booking, you can select your preferred area for pickup:
- Central Maceió: includes collection from hotels in the neighborhoods of Pajuçara, Ponta Verde, Jatiúca, and Cruz das Almas.
- North Maceió area: includes pickup from Salinas Maceió, Pratagy, Ipioca Beach Resort, and Maceió Mar Resort Ipioca.
- South Maceió area: includes collection from hotels in Praia do Francês and Barra de São Miguel.

Important information
On the day of the activity, we'll pick you up from your hotel in the area of Maceió that you selected during the booking process. Pickup will take place between 6:20 am and 7 am. The local guide will contact you to confirm the exact pickup time. The tour will begin at 7 am.
Please be ready and waiting at the hotel lobby 15 minutes early.
