As we journey toward the Ajanta Caves, roughly two hours away, take in the serene views of the Indian countryside. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to investigate the spectacular collection of 30 Buddhist rock-cut cave paintings, which date from the 2nd century BC to 650 AD. What will you think of the intricate frescoes and sculptures? They vividly portray stories from the life of the Buddha, showcasing the exceptional talent of ancient artisans.

Before heading to Ellora, you will have some leisure time to savor a tasty lunch. Rejuvenated? Let’s proceed! This leg of the trip will take approximately 2.5 hours to reach the Ellora Caves.

Upon arrival, you will encounter the 34 remarkable Ellora Caves, an extensive complex featuring Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain temples and monasteries intricately carved into the cliffs between 600 and 1000 AD.
