Española Island Day Trip

Experience the breathtaking nature and diverse wildlife of Española Island on this full-day excursion from San Cristóbal. This destination offers an enchanting glimpse into the wonders of the Galápagos Islands.

Itinerary Overview

We will convene at the San Cristóbal Pier at the designated hour. Once everyone is accounted for, we will embark on a boat ride to Española Island. The adventure begins!

During our 1.5 to 2-hour boat journey, we will traverse the scenic Galápagos waters until we arrive at Punta Cevallos, where the largest colony of albatrosses on Española Island can be found.

Upon disembarking, we'll embark on a 40-minute trek through the island, where we will encounter some of the most famous species in the Galápagos. Expect to see albatrosses, blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, and iguanas as we uncover the stunning wildlife of the island! Please note that the best time for sightings is typically from May to December.

After our walking excursion, we’ll head to Torruga Islet to pick up our snorkeling equipment and dive into the bay's vibrant waters. For approximately 40 minutes, we'll have the chance to swim with sea lions, Galapagos sharks, and an array of colorful fish. This will undoubtedly be a highlight of your day!

Before concluding our day, we'll savor a delightful lunch and enjoy some leisure time on the beach. After experiencing the natural beauty of Española Island, we’ll return to our original meeting point at San Cristóbal Island, wrapping up this 10-hour adventure.
