Excursion to Finisterre and Costa da Morte
Your journey begins at the specified time in the Praza de Pontevedra, located in the heart of A Coruña, as we embark on our excursion to Finisterre and the Costa da Morte. Are you prepared for a day filled with coastal exploration?
Our first destination will be the enchanting Cabo Vilán lighthouse, recognized as one of the most intriguing sites along the Costa da Morte. Here, you'll uncover the captivating legends and maritime disasters that have contributed to the area’s mythical personality.
Next, we will head to the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Barca in Muxía, a significant stop for pilgrims traveling to Finisterre, once thought to be the edge of the world. You’ll discover the deep connections this church has with Galician mariners and Celtic traditions.
Continuing our adventure, we'll arrive at Cape Finisterre, where stories of naval confrontations and its historic significance will unfold before you. And don’t miss the chance to soak in the breathtaking vistas that this location provides!
After that, we’ll visit the charming village of Finisterre, allowing you some leisure time to enjoy lunch and sample the delightful local gastronomy. Once you’ve savored the local flavors, our next stop will be the remarkable Ézaro Waterfall. You’ll gain insight into what makes this waterfall an exceptional gem in Europe as we stroll along the footpath and admire the stunning scenery surrounding it.
The grand finale of our trip will take us to the impressive Hórreo de Carnota, one of the largest structures of its kind found globally!
Finally, after 9.5 hours of exploration, we will return to the departure point in A Coruña.
