When making your reservation, select from a guided tour lasting 20, 45, or 70 minutes. All tours commence from Number 22 Kamininomachi Street at the designated times:
20-Minute Tour
This quick 20-minute tour is perfect for those with limited time. You’ll have the chance to explore the key highlights of Takayama's historic center. Stroll along charming streets lined with houses dating back to the 17th century.
During the tour, we’ll appreciate the exterior of Takayama Jinya, former residence of the provincial governor, and cross the Miyagawa River via the iconic red Nakabashi bridge, which marks the end of this brief exploration.
45-Minute Tour
For those wishing to delve deeper, this 45-minute option allows you to visit Old Town Takayama and engage more with the spiritual aspects of Japanese culture by visiting the Yamazakura Sanctuary. Experience the serenity of this location and learn about its historical significance. The tour culminates outside the temple.
70-Minute Tour
The most extensive option, the 70-minute tour, encompasses the historic center, Yamazakura Shrine, and the Hida Kokubun-ji Temple. In addition to highlights from the previous tours, you will have the opportunity to visit the most renowned temple in the city. Be captivated by its three-story pagoda and the magnificent ginkgo tree, a thousand-year-old natural monument in Japan.
This comprehensive journey concludes outside the Hida Kokubun-ji Temple.

Additional Info
If you have chosen the 45-minute tour, you'll have to pay 300 yen per person to access Yamazakura sanctuary. On the other hand, if you have chosen the 70-minute tour, you'll also have to pay 400 yen for access to Hida Kokubun-ji Temple in addition to this ticket.
