Your adventure begins at 8 am, when we pick you up from your accommodation to set off on a fascinating private tour of Tegucigalpa. Are you ready to dive into the rich history of the capital of Honduras?
Our journey commences at El Picacho Hill, where we will visit the scenic United Nations Park, standing at an impressive 2,108 meters above sea level. Here, you'll be greeted by the striking El Picacho Christ, a captivating figure reminiscent of the renowned sculpture found in Rio de Janeiro.
Next, we will head to the historic center of Tegucigalpa. This segment of the tour involves a leisurely walking tour through charming streets adorned with colonial and neoclassical architecture, including a visit to the notable City Hall. We will also meander through the Central Park, taking in the majestic design of the Old Presidential House, recognized for its unique dome.
Our exploration will then lead us to the vibrant section of the city, where we will enter the Basilica of Suyapa. This significant church is home to the revered Virgin of Suyapa, affectionately called "La Morenita", attracting thousands of devotees every year.
