Phnom Penh Guided Tour
Description
Join us on this guided exploration of Phnom Penh, where we'll delve into the temples and museums that reflect the rich history of Cambodia's vibrant capital.
Tour Description
At the designated time, we will commence our journey with a pickup from your accommodation in Phnom Penh, embarking on a 4.5-hour discovery of the Cambodian capital. Are you prepared?
Our itinerary begins at the Royal Palace, the official residence of King Sihamoni. Here, we will visit the Silver Pagoda, notable for its silver slab construction. This sacred location offers a chance to uncover significant aspects of Cambodia's artistic and historical heritage.
Next, we will make our way to Wat Phnom, a remarkable 14th-century Buddhist temple that rises to 27 meters (88 feet), holding the title of the tallest religious building in the region. Inside, visitors are greeted by a magnificent central altar featuring a large bronze statue of a seated Buddha, complemented by various sculptures, candles, flowers, and offerings.
Following this, we will head to one of the most significant stops on our journey: the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Here, we will gain profound insights into the tragic legacy of the Khmer Rouge regime, exploring one of the darkest and most difficult periods in the nation's history.
During our excursion, you will also have the chance to sample some local specialties and take a short coffee break.
To conclude our tour, we will return to your hotel, where we will bid you farewell.
