At your selected time, we will convene outside the Selina Hotel to begin our guided exploration of Villa de Leyva. Situated in the Boyacá region, this destination is noted for being one of Colombia's most picturesque towns.

Our first destination will be the main plaza, an emblematic area that showcases Our Lady of the Rosary Church, an impressive fountain, and cobblestone pathways, all of which create a timeless ambiance. Do you know that Villa de Leyva's main square is among the largest in South America? This characteristic is also what earned the town its status as a National Monument.

As we continue, we will delve into the history of Villa de Leyva, tracing its roots back to prehistoric eras. This town is home to three distinct museums featuring Cretaceous fossils and dinosaur sculptures discovered in the region. Notably, in this area of Colombia, the most complete pliosaur specimen ever found globally was located.

We will also revel in the town's colonial architecture as we wander through charming streets adorned with vibrant balconies. You will observe how many historical mansions have been transformed into artisan shops and delightful hotels. These structures add to the unique allure that Villa de Leyva exudes, nestled in the Eastern Cordillera of the Andes.
