Horseback Riding Salgar Coffee Plantation

Embark on a scenic horseback adventure through the coffee plantations of Salgar, where you'll appreciate the stunning views of the Antioquian Andes in an unforgettable manner. This journey will immerse you in the deep-rooted coffee culture of the area!

Description

We will convene at the designated time at La Manchuria Ranch, situated 8 kilometers (4.9 miles) from downtown Salgar. Here, you'll meet your horse for the equestrian journey through the coffee fields.

If horseback riding is new to you, there's no need to worry! We will provide thorough instructions to ensure you feel safe and comfortable during the experience. You'll soon discover that riding is actually quite accessible.

After the briefing, we will enjoy a light breakfast before embarking on the horseback journey through the coffee plantations, entering into the lush coffee reserve. The ride will take us uphill through native pine forests and agricultural lands, giving us a glimpse of the region's rich farming traditions.

Following a 2-hour ride, we will reach the summit known as The Roof of the World. We’ll take a 1.5-hour break there to savor an al fresco picnic featuring an appetizer, main dish, dessert, and a beverage.

Rejuvenated, we will continue our descent on horseback. At the end of the 5-hour excursion, we'll return to our starting point. Should you wish, feel free to enjoy a refreshing swim in the ranch's swimming pool afterward.
