Upon booking, you may select from a variety of activities to engage in once you reach the Huasteca Potosina region. Each excursion has a duration of 13 hours, commencing at 7 am, and includes hotel collection and drop-off, minibus transportation, a guide fluent in Spanish, and a meal.
Source of Tamuín
This thrilling guided excursion leads us to the town of Tamuín, where we can visit the source of the Tamuín river, a remarkable site where you can explore underwater caves by swimming in clear, inviting waters.
Minas Viejas Waterfalls
Our journey takes us to the Minas Viejas waterfalls, nestled near El Naranjo. These two waterfalls plunge from 50 m (164 ft) into a striking natural pool below, notable for its stunning turquoise hue. Don’t hesitate to take a leap into the refreshing waters while we’re here!
Micos Waterfalls
We will explore a series of 7 waterfalls rising above 1 km (0.6 mi). This natural haven invites adventurous souls to experience waterfall jumping, providing an exhilarating thrill!
Salto + Meco Waterfalls
This aquatic adventure commences at the Salto waterfall, known for its soaring drop of 70 m (229 ft). Take a refreshing dip in its calm waters!
Next, we will visit the Meco lookout point, offering a breathtaking view of the impressive 30-meter (98-foot) waterfall. A canoe ride will then take us closer to the waterfall, and if you’re feeling brave, you can leap from the rocks into the serene waters for a thrilling swim.
Tamasopo & Puente de Dios
In this option, we will arrive on the outskirts of Tamasopo, discovering the picturesque area near Puente de Dios, a stunning grotto encircled by waterfalls and lush jungle. As we explore the grotto, we will marvel at golden rays of sunlight filtering through every possible opening, creating an enchanting atmosphere.
Shortly thereafter, we’ll proceed to the Tamasopo waterfalls. For the adventurous, there’s an opportunity for vine-swinging for an authentic experience, perfectly landing in the crystal-clear waters below.
Xilitla & Sótano de las Golondrinas
This excursion invites you to Xilitla, a Magical Village nestled within the Edward James Surrealist Garden. We’ll wander through this enchanting area, captivated by structures featuring giant flowers, spiral staircases, Gothic arches, and unfinished edifices tucked among the trees.
Afterward, we will return to Xilitla to admire its colonial architecture and engage in some leisurely people-watching in the main square. Our next stop is Golondrinas Basement, a remarkable karst cave with a depth of 512 meters (1,679 feet).
Tamul Waterfalls
Tamul Waterfall stands as the tallest in the Huasteca Potosina region, reaching a height of 105 m (344 ft). To access this stunning site, we’ll embark on a boat ride lasting approximately 1.5 hours. Additionally, we will visit the Cueva del Agua, a natural blue pool perfect for diving.
