Day Tour: Huiscapuquio, Corivinchos, and Shutjo Canyon

Your adventure begins with a pickup at Huamanmarca Plaza in Huancayo, setting the stage for a day filled with the natural wonders of the Jauja province.

Our initial destination will be the Huiscapuquio Thermal Baths. Here, you will have around one hour to indulge in its invigorating and therapeutic waters, enriched with minerals that not only provide a delightful experience but also offer notable skin benefits.

Next, we will proceed to the Pachacayo cattle ranch adjacent to Shutjo Canyon. This region beautifully marries natural beauty with astonishing vistas that will surely captivate you.

Continuing our tour, we will reach Canchayllo, a picturesque village where we will explore the main square and its church. While in Canchayllo, you will also discover the Corivinchos archaeological site, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Additionally, we'll stroll through the impressive Raimondi puya forest. Following this visit, a one-hour intermission will allow you to enjoy lunch at your leisure.

As we navigate through Canchayllo, take a moment to appreciate the alluring Raimondi Puya forest. After this exploration, we’ll take a break for an hour, providing you time to savor a meal at one of the local eateries nearby.

Our adventure will culminate at the awe-inspiring Shutjo Canyon, a concealed treasure in Canchayllo. Featuring rock walls that soar up to 70 meters (229 feet), the panoramic views from the top are truly breathtaking! You’ll have ample opportunity to snap photos and absorb the striking skyline.

We’ll then take a descent to appreciate the canyon from below before we start our journey back to Huancayo. Prior to concluding our day, a brief stop at a local distillery will let you sample their tequila, a delightful way to wrap up this exhilarating outing!

After approximately 10.5 hours of exploration, we'll return you to Huancayo, marking the end of our memorable adventure.
