Excursion to Isluga Volcano National Park

Your adventure begins at 6:30 am with a pick-up from your accommodation in Iquique, as we journey northward towards the Isluga Volcano National Park. Let’s start this exciting day!

The initial stop will be at Unita Hill, where we will encounter the impressive geoglyph depicting a giant figure, referred to as the Giant of Tarapacá. After discussing its historical relevance, we will proceed to the Chusmiza viewpoint. Here, we will acclimatize to the altitude of the altiplano while taking in views of the lush valley surrounded by Andean mountains.

Continuing our journey, we'll arrive at the Puchildiza Geysers, a site where you can observe boiling water and steam erupting into the sky. Our next stop will be the villages of Colchane, Mauque, and others nestled within and around the Isluga Volcano National Park.

During the trip, you will have the opportunity to learn about the local Ayamara culture from residents. A break for lunch at a park restaurant will feature three traditional dishes showcasing the area's culinary delights.

Post-lunch, we will continue to explore the picturesque landscapes of Isluga Volcano National Park until we reach the village of Enquelga, where the inviting open-air hot springs await you for a relaxing experience.

After a restorative soak, you'll be transported back to your hotel in Iquique, with a planned drop-off at 9 pm.
