By renting a kayak on the Gardon River, you can take an unforgettable trip to the Pont du Gard, one of the main Roman aqueducts in France!
Activity Details
At the designated time, we will meet at the car park in Collias and transport you by minibus to an adventure sports centre on the banks of the Gardon River.
Upon arrival, an instructor will explain the rules to follow during your kayak route along the Gardon River. You will receive your kayak, paddles, and life jacket.
After equipping yourself, you will paddle towards the Pont du Gard. The route is 8 kilometres (4.9 miles) and has low difficulty. You'll experience one of the most beautiful areas in southern France, located between Occitania and Provence.
During the journey, you will admire a green landscape characterized by the area's Mediterranean vegetation and gain a unique perspective of the waterway.
Your journey concludes at the foot of the Pont du Gard. This Roman aqueduct, a World Heritage Site, was built in the 1st century AD and is one of the main engineering feats of ancient Roman province Gallia Narbonensis.
After visiting the monument, a minibus will take you from the Pont du Gard back to the meeting point, concluding this 2-hour activity.

15 minutes before the indicated time, please make your way to the following point: Kayak Vert Pont du Gard Parking (https://maps.app.goo.gl/scKr6gMDd1wRFdz79).
Keep in mind that this activity is not suitable for people who don't know how to swim and cannot dive into the water, children under 6 years old, pregnant women and people in poor physical shape.
The kayaks can be doubles or singles, but please note that the prices indicated are per person, not per boat.
It's compulsory to wear closed shoes, as well as a T-shirt and shorts in summer and a windbreaker in spring and autumn.
