Experience one of the most pristine and untamed landscapes within the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park on this excursion to the Lagoa das Emendadas.
Trip Overview
We will begin by picking you up from your accommodation in Santo Amaro do Maranhão at the designated time. Following that, we will board a minibus and head towards the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park to explore its stunning dunes and the beautiful Lagoa das Emendadas.
Upon our arrival at the park, we'll disembark the bus and set out on a hike spanning approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. This scenic route will guide us to Lagoa das Emendadas, situated in one of the park's most untouched regions.
Our trek will cover a distance of 6 kilometers (approximately 3.7 miles), during which we will pass by other stunning lagoons within the Lençóis Maranhenses. Along the way, we'll take short breaks for photographs and to enjoy a refreshing swim.
As we approach our destination, we’ll be greeted by the breathtaking Lagoa das Emendadas. Here, we will take time to appreciate the serene surroundings and gain insights into the local flora and fauna. Did you know this area is known as a breeding ground for various bird species? Keep your eyes peeled for the adorable baby turtles as well!
To conclude our day, we will take in the captivating sunset over the lagoon before starting our return journey. After approximately 5 hours of adventure, we will hop back onto the minibus, returning you to your hotels to wrap up the tour.
Pickup Information
This tour features pickup from hotels located in the center of Santo Amaro do Maranhão. However, please note that pickup is not provided at the following establishments: Lençóis Zaya, Pacas Suites e Chalés, Oiá Casa Lençóis, and Olho d'Água dos Pereira hotels.

Important information
This tour includes pickup from hotels in the centre of Santo Amaro do Maranhão, apart from the following hotels, at which pickup is not available: Lençóis Zaya, Pacas Suites e Chalés, Oiá Casa Lençóis and Olho d'Água dos Pereira hotels.
Please bring sun cream and sunglasses. As well as this, the tour may be changed if the level of the water in the lagoons is not suitable for bathing and/or access is restricted due to high levels of rain.
