Hike in Liesjärvi National Park

Prepare for an exciting day immersed in the breathtaking landscapes of Finland's rural areas. Our adventure begins at 9 am on Mannerheiminaukio Street, where we will embark on a journey to the awe-inspiring Liesjärvi National Park, located approximately an hour and a half away.

Upon arrival, we will commence our remarkable hike through the verdant woodlands of this scenic natural haven. Throughout the trek, we will unveil the ecological wonders of the Finnish taiga. With a bit of luck, we may also encounter some of the fascinating wildlife inhabiting the region, including foxes, hares, and moose.

At the midpoint of our journey, we will take a break to ignite a fire and prepare a delightful lunch, featuring salmon and vegetable soup, complemented by red fruit cake for dessert and a choice of coffee or tea. During the colder months, our meal will be enjoyed in a cozy shelter, shielding us from the chilly temperatures.

As our adventure concludes, we will retrace our steps back to the bus and return to our initial meeting point, wrapping up our day at approximately 4 pm.
