Visit to Lipica Horse Farm & Škocjan Caves

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Koper at 9 am. We will set off towards Lipica, the birthplace of the Lipizzaner white horse, where you will explore a vital symbol of Slovenia. The popularity of these magnificent creatures is such that they are even featured on the nation’s 20-cent coins.

Upon arriving at one of the region’s oldest stud farms, you'll gain insight into the history of these majestic horses and the traditional care they receive daily. Moreover, the karst landscape of Lipica enhances the uniqueness of this Slovenian region.

During your guided exploration of the farm, you'll have the opportunity to interact with the horses and visit the Lipikum Museum. If you’re interested, you may also attend a captivating Lipizzaner horse performance and witness the elegance of these white horses firsthand.

Following our time at the horse farm, we will proceed to the Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its outstanding subterranean wonders.

As you enter the caves, be prepared to be awed by the striking karst formations along the Reka River. Marvel at geological features such as the organ, the Big Collapse Doline, and the remarkable Murmuring Cave. The Škocjan Caves harbor one of the largest underground canyons in the world, guaranteeing an unforgettable experience.

At the conclusion of the excursion, we will make our way back to Koper, with an expected return time of 2 pm.
