Embarking on a nocturnal cruise through the mangroves of Ria Lagartos offers a unique opportunity to witness the nightlife of the region, situated along the northern shore of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Our adventure begins at the scheduled meeting point on the Rio Lagartos boardwalk, where we will set sail into the mystical mangroves that grace this area of Yucatan's northern coast.

With the stars illuminating our path, we will navigate towards the estuary of Ria Lagartos, an expansive protected zone recognized as a Biosphere Reserve. This remarkable location is teeming with nocturnal wildlife that contributes to the rich biodiversity found here.

During our cruise, it’s possible to spot crocodiles gliding through the waters among the mangroves. Their impressive size, especially at night, may leave you in awe as these creatures hunt under the cover of darkness.

Additionally, we will take a moment to indulge in some stargazing. The minimal light contamination in this Yucatan area allows for stunning views of the celestial sphere, making it unnecessary to have telescopes for an unforgettable experience.

After 1.5 hours of exploration, we will return to the pier where our journey began.
