Your adventure begins when your guide arrives at your hotel in Swakopmund at the designated time, ready to take you on a tour through the Mondesa neighborhood. This experience will reveal insights into the community's residents and the profound impact of the apartheid era on this locale.

During apartheid, Mondesa was designated as the settlement for black citizens, while the affluent white population held sway over the city. Although this system of racial segregation was dismantled in 1991, traces of Mondesa's past are still visible today.

As we traverse the streets of Mondesa, you will fully engage with its vibrant culture, interacting with local residents and sampling their traditional fare. You might even be treated to one of their unique artisan beers and authentic dishes, such as mopane worms (caterpillars of the emperor butterfly), regarded as a delicacy in the region.
