Starting with a convenient pickup from your hotel in La Pineda, we will set out towards the Poblet Monastery, located just 45 minutes away. Are you prepared to delve into the fascinating history of the Cistercian Order?
Upon arrival at this impressive site, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will have the option to download an audio guide, allowing you to explore the monumental complex at your own pace.
Throughout the hour and a half visit, you will have the opportunity to see the monks' dormitories, the kitchen, the main cloister, various chapels, the cellars, and the lavatorium, where monks would cleanse their hands prior to meals.
Additionally, you will gain access to the Royal Pantheon, the burial place of several monarchs and nobles from Aragon, including figures such as Jaime I the Conqueror, Martín I the Human, and Pedro IV the Ceremonious, among others.
Your 3-hour journey will conclude with a return to your hotel in La Pineda.
