Embark on an exciting 4x4 expedition through the northern region of Etna National Park, including a visit to the intriguing Thieve's Cave. This adventure promises to create lasting memories!

Description

At the designated time, we will gather at the Piazza dei Martiri. From here, we'll board a 4x4 vehicle and leave Catania, beginning our journey into the heart of Etna National Park.

By following lesser-known trails within the park, you will learn about the rich history, culture, and traditions surrounding Italy's renowned volcano. Additionally, you will uncover the diverse flora and fauna of the area and see how the landscape transforms with each eruption of Etna.

Our first stop will be in Milo, the park's highest municipality. Here, stunning views of the Ionian Sea, Taormina, and the volcano's summit await. Make sure to capture these moments with your camera!

We will then proceed to explore Monti Sartorius, consisting of seven dormant craters that resulted from the eruption of 1865. This area, adorned with white birch trees, is known as one of Sicily's key natural attractions.

After a brief break at a mountain refuge, a unique experience awaits. We’ll exit the 4x4, equip ourselves with helmets, and enter Thieve's Cave, a captivating prehistoric lava tunnel that is sure to amaze.

To conclude our adventure, we will travel to Zafferana Etnea, where you'll have the opportunity to savor authentic Sicilian treats, such as honey, wine, and various liqueurs.

In the end, we will return to Catania, winding down this 4.5-hour journey.
