8-Day Tour Overview

Day 1: Arrival in Luxor

This remarkable adventure commences with your arrival at the Luxor Airport, where we will assist you with visa processing and immigration checks. For those already in Luxor, our team will meet you at your hotel for a seamless transfer to the cruise ship, allowing you to settle into your cabin while enjoying dinner.

Day 2: Discovering Luxor & Surroundings

After a hearty breakfast on board, we will disembark to uncover the treasures of Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes. Our first visits will be to the stunning Luxor Temple and the vast Karnak Temple Complex, an impressive site devoted to Amun.

Following lunch on the ship, we will venture to the famous Valley of the Kings, exploring three of its tombs. We will also visit the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon, before stopping at a local artisan shop to admire the exquisite stone and alabaster crafts produced by talented local artisans.

As the evening sets in, we will sail towards Edfu, where we will dock for the night. You can relish the scenic views as we pass through the Esna lock at sunset.

Day 3: Temples of Edfu & Kom Ombo

On the morning of day three, after breakfast, we will embark on a horse-drawn carriage ride to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the deity Horus. This well-preserved temple, characterized by its remarkable architecture, is a highlight of the Ptolemaic period.

We will then continue our cruise to Kom Ombo to explore its striking temple, shared by the gods Sobek and Haroeris. Its unique double structure showcases brilliant symmetry, featuring two entrances, two hypostyle halls, and two sacred areas.

We will wrap up this day by sailing towards Aswan, where the cruise ship will dock for an overnight stay.

Note: Transportation in Edfu is provided by horse-drawn carriage. If you prefer a different mode of transport, please inform your guide the previous day.

Day 4: Abu Simbel Day Trip

Our fourth day begins with a bus journey to the renowned Abu Simbel temples, known for their intricate architecture. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, built under Pharaoh Ramesses II, is a marvel that was relocated to prevent it from being submerged by the Nile's waters.

After touring the temples dedicated to Ramesses and Nefertiti, we will return to Aswan, where we will also get a glimpse of the impressive Aswan Dam, designed to manage the unpredictable floods of the Nile.

The evening will conclude back on our cruise ship.

Day 5: Aswan & Flight to Cairo

Following breakfast, we will disembark to visit the exquisite Philae Temple Complex, dedicated to the goddess Isis, also known as the "Pearl of the Nile." A visit to a local perfume shop will provide insights into the fragrance secrets of ancient Egypt.

A delightful felucca ride on a traditional Egyptian sailboat will allow you to appreciate the tranquil beauty created by the desert dunes alongside the Nile.

In the afternoon, we will depart from our cruise ship and head to Aswan Airport for a flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel to rest and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Day 6: Exploring Giza, Saqqara, & Cairo

Our exploration continues after breakfast with a visit to the iconic Giza pyramid complex and the Great Sphinx of Giza. If you're keen, you'll also have the opportunity to explore the Great Pyramids in depth. Following this, we’ll stop by a papyrus school to see how this essential Egyptian product is crafted.

After a satisfying lunch, we will make our way to Memphis, the first capital of Egypt, and visit the necropolis at Saqqara, including a look at the statue of Ramesses II.

After a restful period at the hotel, we will head to Old Cairo in the evening, where we will explore the Khan el-Khalili bazaar and visit the famous Café of Mirrors before enjoying a traditional dinner.

Day 7: Cairo

On our penultimate day, we will delve into the historic sites of Cairo, starting with the Citadel of Saladin and the Muhammad Ali Mosque. We'll then pass through the Copts neighborhood, enjoy lunch, and conclude our day with a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to countless treasures of Egypt.

Our day will conclude with dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 8: Departure from Cairo Airport

After breakfast, we will escort you to Cairo Airport for your return flight home, with departure times adjusted to accommodate your flight schedule.

Tour Requirements

To embark on this tour, you simply need to secure a flight to Luxor and a return flight from Cairo, arriving on the designated day and returning the following week on the same day. For example, if your arrival in Luxor is on a Tuesday, you should arrange your return from Cairo the following Tuesday.

For arrivals, we suggest planning your flight to reach Luxor no later than midnight to allow ample time to settle in. Our guide will ensure timely coordination on the departure day based on your international flight.

If you are staying at a hotel in Luxor, our team will pick you up in the morning on your first day, and we will reach out to confirm the exact pickup time.

Fully Inclusive Tour

This comprehensive package encompasses visa fees, internal flights, transportation, accommodations, meals (lunch, dinner, and breakfast), guides, excursions, and entry tickets (with the exception of entry to the Grand Pyramids of Giza).

Pricing Information

• The indicated price is per person in a double room. Single travelers will incur an individual supplement.
• For reservations made for three guests, a double room with an extra bed will be provided. If the third guest prefers a separate room, they must pay the individual supplement.
• Four-bed rooms are not available; however, large groups may request adjoining or connected double rooms based on hotel or cruise availability.
• The discounted price for children applies only when sharing a room with two adults.
