Musée de la Romanité Ticket
Since opening its doors in 2018, this museum has established itself as a key destination for those interested in the remains of Roman heritage found in this region.
Situated directly across from the renowned Arena of Nîmes, the museum is set within a striking modern structure crafted by the acclaimed French-Brazilian architect Elizabeth de Portzamparc.
With your ticket, you will gain access to the permanent exhibition, which showcases an impressive range of artifacts including pottery, mosaics, sculptures, and additional items from both the pre-Roman era (800 to 100 BC) and the Roman period (27 BC to 400 AD). Furthermore, a dedicated floor features artifacts from the medieval era, featuring remarkable sarcophagi and items dating from 1000 to 1500 AD.
We encourage a visit to the museum's panoramic terrace for breathtaking views of Nîmes. Don't forget to explore the archaeological garden located at the rear of the museum, where you can view various Roman remains.
