National Maritime Museum of Toulon
Situated next to France's largest naval port, the National Maritime Museum stands as a key attraction in Toulon. The port, praised by Vauban, the military architect of Louis XIV, is considered the most stunning in Europe.
With this ticket, you are invited to explore the former arsenal of the city at your own pace, featuring its grand 18th-century entrance. Upon entering, you will gain access to an exclusive collection that has welcomed visitors since 1814.
Among the highlights is a model of the La Sultane, a frigate equipped with 28 guns, crafted in 1763 during the era of Louis XV. Do not overlook the model of a nuclear submarine, instrumental in the protection of the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier, which is stationed in Toulon.
Other significant artifacts featured in the museum include a figurehead representing the god Neptune and the bell from the Toulon arsenal, which was cast in bronze in 1672 during Louis XIV's reign.
Your visit is estimated to take around 1.5 hours, though you are welcome to remain in the museum for as long as desired.

- July and August: Open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
