Nordkette Cable Car Pass
Upon reaching the summit of the Nordkette mountain range, you'll be treated to a magnificent vista that will deepen your affection for the Tyrol region. This cable car pass allows you to disembark at the first station, located at 304 metres: Hungerburg. From here, you can marvel at the Innsbruck skyline in clear blue skies.
Your journey continues upward to Seegrube, nearly 2,000 metres high. On a clear day, the steep gorges and even the Austrian-Italian border may come into view. This area offers multiple trails perfect for adventurous exploration, where you can discover local flora.
The next leg of your ascent is on the funicular railway to Hafelekar, the highest peak in the range, providing an incredible opportunity to view the stunning Karwendel, an impressive segment of the Alps. Prepare to capture every moment!
Operational Schedule
The operational hours for the Nordkette funicular stations are outlined below:
- Innsbruck station: Open daily from 8:15 am to 7 pm, with departures every 15 minutes.
- Hungerburg station: Accessible Monday to Friday from 7:15 am to 7:15 pm; on weekends and holidays, it's open from 8 am to 6:30 pm, also with departures every 15 minutes.
- Seegrube station: Operating daily from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm, with departures every 15 minutes.
- Hafelekar station: Open daily from 9 am to 6 pm, with departures every 15 minutes.
During the period from October to May, the Nordkette cable car stations have the following hours:
- Innsbruck station: Open daily from 8:15 am to 7 pm, with 15-minute intervals for departures.
- Hungerburg station: Available Monday to Friday from 7:15 am to 7:15 pm and on weekends and public holidays from 8 am to 7:15 pm, with departures every 15 minutes.
- Seegrube Station: Open daily from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, also departing every 15 minutes.
- Hafelekar Station: Daily operation from 9 am to 6 pm, with departures every 15 minutes.
