The Maritime-Terrestrial Natural Park of the Atlantic Islands represents a safeguarded treasure along the Galician coastline. Our adventure commences at the Juan Carlos I Marina, where we will board the ferry bound for Ons Island.

Ferry Return Schedule
When booking your trip, you will need to specify your desired return time from Ons Island among the available options.
If you plan to return on a different day, please indicate this during the booking process. If you decide to camp on the island, keep in mind that prior authorization from the Xunta de Galicia is necessary.
Access Authorization for Ons Island
Ons Island is classified as a protected zone with a limited number of visitors allowed daily, requiring an authorization from the Xunta de Galicia to visit.
During the high season (from May 15 to September 15 and during Easter), you will need to acquire this authorization yourself. We will email it to you promptly. For the remainder of the year, the guide will carry the authorization for the tour day.
If any participants are unable to attend the activity, please provide a minimum of 15 days' notice, along with the name and surname of the absent individual, allowing the Xunta de Galicia to remove them from the participant list.
Tour of Ons Island
From October 1 to May 14, the ferry ticket includes a guided tour of the island lasting one hour. Do note that this guided experience is not available during the Easter holiday period, specifically from the Friday before Easter to Easter Sunday.

Important information
Timetables and departure point
You hand in the voucher at the offices of the Mar de Ons shipping company. The complete address is Puerto Deportivo Juan Carlos I, Rúa do Porto, 36960 Sanxenxo. There, you will be instructed which wharf to go to board the ferry.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes in advance.
Necessary Documentation
The island of Ons is a protected area with a daily quota of visitors, and in order to be able to travel to it it is necessary to obtain an authorisation from the Xunta de Galicia, which will be processed by the local provider. Once the authorisation has been processed, you will receive it by e-mail. It is essential that you bring it with you, as well as this voucher.
If for any reason any of you cannot attend the activity, you must give at least 15 days' notice and indicate the name and surname of the person who will be absent so that the Xunta de Galicia can remove him/her from the list.
You must take into account that in high season (from May 15th to September 15th and at Easter) you will have to bring your own authorisation from the Xunta de Galicia to access Ons. We will send it to you by email as soon as possible. The rest of the year, we won't send it to you, as it will be the guide themselves who will bring it on the day of the tour.
If you still haven't received the authorization of the Xunta in your email 24 hours before the date of your visit, you can access the website of the Xunta and download the authorizations by following these steps:

- Once on the page, select option #3 "Search by date and visitor's document"
- After filling in your details, you'll be able to download the authorization directly
In any case, you can also request them at the ticket office on the day of your visit, so we recommend that you arrive at least 25 minutes in advance.
Ticket conditions
Tickets can only be issued up to 30 minutes before the departure of the boat and at the port of departure corresponding to your journey.
The ticket is null and void and has no value outside the day and time indicated on the ticket. If the ticket is lost or mislaid, a new ticket must be purchased.
You must be at the dock 10 minutes before departure and/or return time with your boarding ticket and the enclosed authorisation to disembark on the island of Ons.
The company is entitled to modify the announced timetables and even to suspend and cancel the trip for internal, technical-logistical or organisational reasons, as well as for reasons of weather or unprecedented circumstances. Likewise, it can make any kind of intermediate stopover.
