Boat transfer to Ons Island
The Ons archipelago is a paradise in the Atlantic Ocean which you should visit during your stay in Portonovo. It also serves as an alternative to the Cíes Islands if you prefer tranquility.
For this transfer, we will meet at the port of Portonovo and board a boat to take you to the island of Ons, which you can explore independently.
The island of Ons is the only inhabited island in the archipelago. During your visit, you can walk along various paths through both scenic landscapes and urban centers, such as O Curro, where the port, main stores, and accommodation options are located.
Another attraction to experience is the remote beaches with turquoise waters, such as the shores of Melide.

Please note that the Xunta de Galicia allows you to request authorization 30 days before the visit date. Once processed, we will send it to you.
Return times
The return times from Ons Island to the port of Portonovo are as follows:
- June 13 to June 21, 2026: 7 pm
- June 22 to August 15, 2026: 8 pm
- August 16 to September 5, 2026: 7 pm

Important information
We'll meet up at the selected time at the Cruceros do Ulla ticket office in the Port of Portonovo, located at Calle Rafael Picó nº48. Please be there at least 10 minutes in advance.
Return times
The return times from Ons Island to the port of Portonovo are as follows:
- June 13 to June 21, 2026: 7 pm
- June 22 to August 15, 2026: at 8 pm
- August 16 to September 5, 2026: at 7 pm
Required documentation
Ons Island is a protected archipelago with a daily quota of visitors, and in order to visit it is necessary to obtain authorization from the Xunta de Galicia, which will be processed by the local provider.
Please note that the Xunta de Galicia opens the availability to request authorization 30 days before the date of the visit. Once the authorization has been processed, you will receive it by e-mail. It is essential that you bring the authorization, as well as this voucher.
If you have made your reservation more than one month in advance, you should take into account that the reservation will be sent to you a few weeks before the visit.
If for whatever reason any of you cannot attend the activity, you must give at least 15 days' notice and indicate the name and surname of the person who will be absent so that the Xunta de Galicia can remove him/her from the list.
From September 16th to March 26th it's not necessary to present the authorization, but it is compulsory to provide your information to the Xunta de Galicia through its official website.
