Hike to La Plata Waterfall

Your adventure begins at 7 am when we will collect you from your accommodation in Ibagué and journey northward to the La Plata Ecotourism Park.

Upon our arrival in this picturesque natural setting, we will embark on a trail designed to showcase the park's most captivating features. Our 4.5-mile (7.2 km) hike alongside the Combeima River will lead us past bridges, quaint farms, and natural springs, ultimately guiding us to our goal: the magnificent La Plata waterfall!

Remarkably, this waterfall holds the title of the tallest in the Combeima Canyon, soaring to a height of 1,607 ft (490 meters)! Here, you'll find an oasis of nature, refreshing air, serenity, and breathtaking views, perfect for a day of pure relaxation.

You will have time to enjoy the refreshing waters of the waterfall and also visit La Platica, a lovely smaller waterfall in close proximity to La Plata. After soaking in this enchanting location, we will provide a snack before retracing our steps to the park's entrance.

Your return journey to Ibagué will be seamless, as a bus is waiting to transport us back, with an expected arrival at your hotel around 12:30 pm.
