Excursion to Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius

Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Ascea at 7 am. Board a comfortable coach as we set off toward the historic site of Pompeii.

At this renowned archaeological park, we will delve into the fascinating history of one of the globe's most frequented sites, revealed to the world in 1748 following the cataclysmic eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.

We will stroll through the remarkably preserved streets of ancient Pompeii, visiting key landmarks such as the House of the Faun, an exquisite Roman villa from the 2nd century BC, as well as the Amphitheater, the impressive Forum of Pompeii, and the illustrious Temple of Apollo. Don't forget to look for the bronze statue of the Greek god preparing to unleash an arrow—it's still located here!

Following our exploration of the archaeological site of Pompeii, we will take a break for lunch (not included). After enjoying a meal at one of the local eateries, we will reconvene to continue our excursion to Mount Vesuvius.

We will ascend to an elevation of 1,000 meters, following the path within the Vesuvius National Park that leads us to the Gran Cono. Once we reach this impressive crater, we can enjoy breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and the surrounding cityscape. A perfect moment to capture stunning photographs!

Afterward, we’ll descend back down the trail and board the bus for our return journey to Ascea, with an expected arrival at your hotels around 7:30 pm, concluding a full day of exploration.
