For wine enthusiasts visiting the Pinhão area, a tour of a renowned winery offers an exceptional opportunity to delve into the wine-making process. This experience includes not only a guided exploration of the winery's facilities but also a chance to savor three distinct varieties of wine.

Tour Overview

At your selected time, we will gather at the winery to commence our guided exploration. Get ready to deepen your understanding of wine!

After everyone is assembled, we will kick off with a comprehensive introduction to the winery, situated in one of the most historic wine-producing regions worldwide. Throughout the tour, enjoy breathtaking views of the sprawling vineyards that define this region of Portugal.

As we navigate through the winery, we will share insights about the Symington family, whose legacy in vineyard cultivation spans numerous generations. Their expertise in winemaking is deeply rooted in tradition and a profound connection to the local landscape.

Our walk will take us through the vineyards, the historic warehouse, the terrace, and the barrel-aging area, culminating in the tasting room where participants will enjoy the delightful sampling of three different wines.

The tour will last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, concluding at the entrance of the winery.

Wine Sampling Options

When reserving your spot, you will have the option to choose between two unique tasting experiences:

• Dow’s Tasting: This includes a sampling of a Dow’s LBV, a vintage from 1994, and a Dow’s 30-Year-Old Tawny.
• The Specialist Tasting: This tasting features an Altano Reserva Douro DOC White, a Quinta do Vesúvio Red Douro DOC, a Quinta do Vesúvio 1998 Vintage, and a Dow’s 30-Year-Old Tawny.
