River Bugging Experience on the River Tummel

Your journey begins at the designated meeting point at the entrance of the Scottish & Southern Power Company in Pitlochry, where we will gather at the scheduled time. From there, we’ll make our way to the beautiful banks of the River Tummel. An informative briefing will prepare you on how to handle the "bugs," which are an innovative mix of a raft and an inflatable seat, designed for navigating the river's exhilarating rapids.

Once aboard the river bugs, we’ll embark on our adventure down the Tummel, with our guide skillfully navigating through the rapids and around the rocky formations. Experience the picturesque scenery of Scotland's countryside from this thrilling vantage point!

This exciting river bugging excursion will lead us through tranquil areas of the river, as well as challenging white-water cascades and exhilarating rapids – make sure to hang on tight! Should you happen to fall off, simply swim along the river until you're able to reboard!

After an action-packed two hours exploring the River Tummel, we'll return to solid ground, and you will be escorted back to the initial meeting location.

Participation for Children Under 15

Child participation is subject to the following restrictions:

• June to September: Adults and children aged 12 to 15 can join from Monday to Friday, while only adults participate on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Rest of the year: Adults and children between 12 to 15 years old are welcome every day.
