Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel, the bus terminal, or the airport at 10 am, as we embark on our private visit to the Uyuni Salt Flat.

During the trip to the renowned salt flat, we will make several interesting stops, including the train graveyard, which features a deserted railway complex from the 19th century. We'll also visit the town of Colchani, well-known for its salt production facilities.

Upon reaching this extraordinary salt flat, recognized as the largest of its kind on the planet, you’ll be treated to a surreal view. In the rainy season, the flat transforms as water blankets it, turning the ground into a stunning mirror reflecting the sky.

You’ll have the opportunity to stroll across the salt encrusted landscape, examining the mounds of salt and the unique geometric designs formed on its surface, as well as the intriguing "eyes of the salt flat", small natural pools filled with subterranean water. Additionally, we will visit the famous Playa Blanca salt hotel.

After enjoying a picnic lunch, we’ll continue on to Isla Incahuasi, a rocky elevation that was once an island, nestled within the vast Uyuni Salt Flat. Here, you'll discover numerous cacti amid an enchanting landscape, with some towering more than 12 meters high!

To cap off your experience, prepare to witness a stunning sunset as the day fades on the salt flat, creating a mesmerizing sight.

The private tour will conclude as we return to the starting location, arriving around 7 pm.

Uyuni Salt Flat + Tunupa Volcano (11 hours)

If you wish to enhance your adventure, consider adding a visit to the Tunupa Volcano. This extended excursion kicks off at 8 am. Following our tour of Isla Incahuasi, we'll journey to the northern part of the salt flat to reach the viewpoint of Tunupa volcano, perched at 5,432 meters above sea level.

We will enter a cave at the base of the volcano to witness the mummies of Coqueza, preserving the remains of a family for over 500 years. Lastly, we’ll explore the sub-aquatic cave of Chiquini and enjoy the sunset upon exiting this stunning locale.

Excursion from Colchani

For those staying in Colchani, a pickup is available from there as well. However, please note that we will skip the visit to the train graveyard in this case.
