Crete to Santorini Day Tour

On the day of the excursion, you’ll be greeted at your selected pickup location in Crete, from where we will proceed to the designated departure pier. Alternatively, we can meet you directly at the Heraklion port.

At the port, we will embark on a boat that will ferry us to the port of Athinios on Santorini. Enjoy a scenic 2.5-hour journey across the Aegean Sea before reaching this renowned volcanic destination, celebrated for its allure.

Upon arrival in Santorini, we will hop on a bus, where our guide will provide insights about the island. Our first stop will be Oia, where you will have approximately 1.5 hours of leisure time. This village is known for its iconic charm, characterized by white homes with blue domes, which epitomizes traditional Greek architecture!

Next, we will head to Fira, the island's capital. Here, you’ll enjoy another 1.5 hours to wander its captivating streets and relish delicious local cuisine. Should you wish, there is also an option for a short self-guided excursion to the volcano of Nea Kameni, which will occupy approximately 1.5 hours and will slightly reduce your time in Fira to 20 minutes.

As the afternoon rolls in, we will reboard the vessel for our return journey from Santorini to Crete. Our day trip concludes at the port of Heraklion after an enriching 12-hour experience. If you chose the pickup service, we will ensure your safe return to your hotel from the pier in the Cretan capital.

Keep in mind that the itinerary order may change due to higher traffic volumes, with the possibility of the buses making a first stop at Fira.

Tour Choices

During the reservation process, you can select from these available options:

• Tour with pickup: This option includes transportation from various hotels near Heraklion such as Sissi, Malia, Stalis, Hersonissos, Analipsi, Anissaras, Gouves, Gournes, Kokkini Chani, Karteros, Ammoudara Beach, Agia Pelagia, and Lygaria. Pickup times may vary from 5:45 am to 7 am depending on your location. We will contact you to confirm the exact time.
• Tour without pickup: Meet us directly at the Heraklion port. This option has a total duration of 10 hours, as it omits the time spent on pickups.

Note that there are no pickups available from hotels within Heraklion. Therefore, if your accommodation is located in the capital city, the option without pickup is recommended.
