To commence, we’ll sample one of the city’s most renowned empanadas at Álvarez Park. Following this, we’ll wander through the city streets to another food stall, where an authentic Santander-style tamal awaits. Here, you’ll discover its unique preparation method and hear the stories of the talented women who have preserved this flavorful and traditional recipe.

Our next stop will be the lively Plaza Guarín market, where we will indulge in a delectable Santander-style arepa, accompanied by its customary broth. Enjoy a refreshing serving of fresh fruit while taking in the vibrant atmosphere of this popular market.

As we proceed, we’ll head to another local eatery for a taste of the traditional Santander-style calentado, paired with cassava and carne oreada. This marinated meat, salted and sun-dried, is then grilled or fried, creating a distinctive texture and rich smoky flavor through its historic preservation technique.

Our culinary excursion will conclude on a delightful note at the Concha Acústica theater. At this renowned cultural site, we’ll cool down with an artisanal cholao: a colorful and sweet concoction of shaved ice, fruit, and syrups. We look forward to seeing you again!

• Tour without hotel pickup: If you wish to proceed directly to the meeting location, we’ll gather at Álvarez Park in Bucaramanga at the specified time. The tour will conclude at the Concha Acústica theater.
• Tour with hotel pickup: For those who prefer convenience, this option includes pickup from your accommodation. We will transport you to Álvarez Park to begin the tour, and after enjoying the tastings near the Concha Acústica theater, we’ll bring you back to your hotel.
