Day Trip Overview

At the scheduled time, our team will pick you up at your hotel in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, beginning our adventure towards the Sumidero Canyon, which we will reach in about 30 minutes.

We will commence our visit at several major viewpoints of the canyon, where you can appreciate the stunning panoramas for approximately 2 hours. As you soak in the breathtaking landscapes, our guide will provide fascinating insights about this remarkable location, allowing you ample opportunity to capture unforgettable photos.

Next, we will board a boat for a captivating boat tour of Sumidero Canyon. Prepare to drift through the canyon's depths, flanked by towering rock walls rising nearly 3280 ft (1000 m) high. Marvel at the vibrant vegetation and, if fortune smiles upon you, watch for various wildlife species along the way.

After spending about 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours on the water, we'll conclude our boat tour in Chiapa de Corzo, the first colonial city established by Spaniards in 1528. You'll have 2 hours of leisure time here to wander through this Pueblo Mágico, visit the malecón, and admire the colonial fountain. It's also a perfect opportunity to buy local crafts and savor the regional cuisine.

Our day concludes with a return trip to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, where we will drop you off at your hotel after 7 hours of exploration.
