Sunset Trip to the Cuevas de Ajuy
Description
How familiar are you with the western shores of Fuerteventura? Join us on this excursion to the Cuevas de Ajuy, where we will witness a captivating sunset illuminating the island’s most renowned caves, complemented by a delightful tapas dinner with ocean views!
Trip Overview
At the scheduled time, our team will collect you from your accommodation on the eastern side of Fuerteventura as we head towards the island's scenic western coastline. Are you prepared to uncover a stunning volcanic terrain?
Following a 45-minute journey, we will reach Arco del Jurado. This natural landmark will be the starting point for a relaxed 4-kilometre (2.5-mile) hike through the Canary Islands' oldest geological formation. It’s intriguing to note that the underwater lava structures here were formed over 150 million years ago!
Midway through our trek, we will pause for an energy bar, some fruit, and water before arriving at the Natural Monument of the Cuevas de Ajuy. This breathtaking region features black volcanic sand beaches, striking sea caves, and stunning natural arches.
As dusk falls, we will take a moment to enjoy the Cuevas de Ajuy. The sunset over this segment of Fuerteventura's coastline casts a remarkable orange and scarlet glow on the sea caves, creating a truly memorable spectacle.
Once we experience the enchanting nightfall over the caves, we will head to a nearby restaurant where a delightful dinner with ocean vistas awaits, featuring a tapas menu alongside a drink.
After our meal, we will return to your hotel, concluding a journey that lasts approximately 5 to 6 hours.

If desired, when booking, you can select the option excluding dinner. In this scenario, you will follow the same itinerary as outlined above, but during the dinner period, you will have leisure time to explore your surroundings before heading back to your hotel.
