Depending on the chosen line, this trip offers a duration of between 40 and 55 minutes!
Overview of Train Services
During your booking process, you will have the option to select a one-way ticket from the airport or a round-trip ticket. You might prefer the Express Route, which provides direct access to Taipei’s main station, or the Suburban Train Route, which makes stops in Taoyuan, New Taipei City, and Taipei City.
It is important to note that this ticket is applicable exclusively for non-Taiwanese citizens.
On the day of travel, you must exchange your voucher at the specified ticket counters of the Taoyuan Airport MRT to obtain coins for metro access. For details on how to redeem your voucher, please refer to the following link:
Do remember that the magnetic coin issued must be validated within a month; unfortunately, lost coins cannot be replaced.
Operating Schedule and Frequency
The Taoyuan Airport MRT features two main routes:
- Express Route: available daily from 5:57 am to 9:55 pm, with train intervals of 30 minutes, covering the journey in between 36 and 40 minutes.
- Suburban Train Route: runs daily from 6:04 am to 11:37 pm, with trains every 15 minutes, lasting between 50 and 55 minutes for the trip.

Important information
On the day of your metro trip, you'll need to redeem the voucher at the designated ticket desks at the Taoyuan Airport MRT to receive coins for accessing the metro. For more information on the locations where you can redeem your voucher, click on the following link:
Please note that the magnetic coin you'll receive must be validated within a month at most. Lost coins cannot be reissued.
