Embark on a 50-minute journey with the Tavira sightseeing train, designed to showcase the most significant landmarks and highlights of this enchanting city.
The adventure begins at Jacques Pessoa?. From there, the trip proceeds towards the fishing port, where stunning views of the Algarve coastline await, followed by a visit to the local market. Next, we’ll make a stop at the Vila Galé Hotel before heading toward the Gilão River, a wonderful spot for bird watching.
If you haven't yet explored the salt pans of Tavira, fear not; we will pass by this extraordinary landscape during our ride! Our journey will continue into the historic district, where you can admire notable sites, including the Islamic Museum, Nossa Senhora da Piedade Chapel, Hermitage of Sao Roque, and the iconic Tavira Castle, a medieval structure surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden.
Our train tour will take you to other significant locations in this captivating city, such as Santa Maria do Castelo Church, Pousada do Convento da Graça, and Santiago Bridge.
The tour will conclude as we return to the original departure point.
