Chiang Mai Temples Tour
Description
Delve into the intricacies of Thai Buddhist practices and heritage through a guided visit to the temples of Chiang Mai, where you can explore concepts such as meditation, karma, and nirvana.
Chiang Mai Temples Exploration
The excursion commences at 1 pm, when you will be collected from your accommodation, setting the stage for a journey through five of the most significant temples in Chiang Mai. Our first destination is the impressive Wat Suan Dok, often referred to as Wat Buppharam, which serves as the burial site for the city’s royal family.
Following this, we will visit Wat Prah Singh, a revered temple with roots dating back to the 14th century, celebrated for its stunning architectural features. Here, you will gain insights into Buddhist beliefs and ideals while taking in the exquisite structures surrounding you.
Continuing our journey, we will next explore Wat Chedi Luang Temple, which was the tallest building in the ancient Kingdom of Lanna when it was constructed in the 15th century. Our subsequent stop will be Wat Chet Yot, distinguished by its seven towering spires.
We will conclude our temple visits at the captivating Wat Chiang Mun Temple, where the elephant sculptures serve as a standout feature, beautifully juxtaposed against a lush jungle scenery.
