In the community known as El Hato, situated near Antigua Guatemala, you will encounter Hobbitenango. The theme park's name derives from a combination of 'Hobbiton' and 'Tenango', with the latter signifying 'fortified place' in an Indigenous language. Ready to delve deeper?

Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Guatemala City. We will then embark on the journey to Hobbitenango. Upon arrival, you can relish 2 hours of leisure time, exploring scenic viewpoints, savoring delights at food stalls, wandering through natural trails, or even trying out the giant swing and a minigolf course. All experiences are themed around the enchanting Third Age of hobbit lore. Truly magical!

Take the chance to engage in activities such as archery and axe throwing, and make your way to the Hand of the Stone Giant Norot, perched at the mountain's edge. Others are part of the park’s accommodations, like Casa Esmeralda, Casita del Nido, and Casita del Sueño. Regardless, you will have ample opportunities to capture memorable photos against their charming facades and along pathways bordered by rustic wooden fences.

Transitioning from Hobbitenango to Antigua Guatemala

Following your exploration of this whimsical area, we’ll make our way to Antigua Guatemala. You will have some leisure time to enjoy lunch at a local eatery within this colonial city.

After regrouping, we’ll embark on a guided tour starting from the inviting Central Park. Here, we will take in the splendid array of colorful colonial structures, including the Parish of San José, the Captain General Palace, and the charming entrance pathways.

Wandering the historic cobbled streets, you can take captivating photos of the city’s most notable landmarks. Moreover, we will stroll along Arco Street , leading us to the magnificent Church of La Merced. Fun fact: the local lore claims its facade is yellow because it was made from corn!

In closing, we’ll commence our return to Guatemala City, concluding the day with fond farewells at your hotel after an enriching 6 to 8 hour journey.
