Activity Overview

Our journey commences at the Pasaje Aurora de Chile located in Pisco Elqui, where you will have the chance to choose your preferred cycling equipment.

Following a brief transfer of approximately 30 minutes, we will arrive at Alcohuaz. Your cycling expedition will kick off in this charming village nestled at over 7,000 ft (1,740 m) above sea level. Are you ready to embark on this adventure?

Upon arrival, you will receive a map to guide your exploration. You’ll traverse a 9.3-mile (15.10 km) rural route characterized by medium difficulty, allowing you to soak in the breathtaking vistas of the Elqui River Valley. These picturesque scenes are bound to etch themselves into your memory!

Throughout your journey, feel free to pause at memorable spots such as the Los Nichos and Doña Josefa pisco distilleries, as well as the central squares of Alcohuaz and Horcón, both of which radiate charm and uniqueness. You will also find picnic areas and restrooms available, plus an opportunity to visit the Estero Derecho River.

The cycling experience is expected to last around 5 hours. Please keep in mind that at the conclusion of your route, you will be responsible for returning to the meeting point in Pisco Elqui.
