In just a short distance of about 4 miles (7 kilometers), we will arrive at the remarkable Ventanillas de Otuzco, an ancient necropolis home to over 300 tombs hewn into volcanic rock.

This historical site is tied to the Caxamarca culture, which thrived prior to the Incan dominance, eventually becoming a part of the Inca Empire until the Spanish conquest. As we explore, you will encounter the window-like niches that lend their name to this unique location and uncover the intriguing tales they conceal.

Our journey continues to the charming Hacienda Tres Molinos, a typical farm renowned for its dairy production, including cheese, butter, and the sweet delicacy known as blancmange, native to South America.
