Via Ferrata in the Almadenes Gorge
Our day begins at 9 am at the Almadenes Visitor Centre, conveniently located just a 20-minute drive from Cieza. Here, we will equip ourselves with helmets, harnesses, and all necessary gear before embarking on our via ferrata adventure through Almadenes Gorge.
After a brief 10-minute walk to reach the starting point of the via ferrata, nestled in the final segment of the gorge, we will cover essential safety protocols to ensure a secure and enjoyable experience as we prepare to explore this protected area.
Let the adventure begin! We will navigate a path equipped with clamps and fixed ropes, maneuvering past steep walls that soar approximately 330 feet (100 meters) high. As we progress, enjoy stunning views of the Almadenes Gorge and the winding Quípar River.
Along the way, we'll encounter the Almadenes hydroelectric power station, take in the picturesque waterfall of La Higuera Ravine, and put our courage to the test as we traverse a monkey bridge composed of just three cables.
After an exhilarating 2-hour 30-minute journey, we will conclude our adventure back at the starting location.
