Vikaköngäs Hiking Adventure

On the day of your excursion, we will collect you from your accommodation in Rovaniemi to begin our journey towards the settlement of Vikajärvi, the launch point for our hiking experience in Vikaköngäs.

The Vikaköngäs region, nestled in Finnish Lapland, is adorned with dense forests, captivating lakes, and a substantial river weaving through its landscapes. Its extensive array of both short and long hiking trails makes it a haven for nature enthusiasts.

Our hike will take us approximately 2 kilometers (1.25 mi) through scenic areas filled with diverse vegetation and striking rocky outcrops, allowing us to observe the local flora and fauna. Along the way, we will take a break to explore a traditional Kota and savor a delightful blueberry tea. Additionally, we will partake in a delicious barbecue featuring pork sausages, a cherished culinary custom of the region.

After around 3 hours spent immersing ourselves in nature, we will return to our starting point and proceed back to your hotel.

Pickup Information

This experience includes hotel pickup from locations within a 10 km (6.21 mi) radius of Rovaniemi’s center. If your accommodation is situated in the heart of Rovaniemi, we will convene at Maakuntakatu 29.
