Itinerary: Discovering the Marshes of the Tramandaí River Estuary

Gather with us at Marina Barranco at the scheduled time, ready to begin our kayaking journey through the Imbé wetlands. After equipping ourselves with all necessary gear, we will set out onto the water!

Prepare for an exhilarating 5-kilometer kayak adventure along one of the winding channels of the Tramandaí River that courses through the marshlands—a region renowned as the Imbé wetlands. Enjoy the unexpected beauty of these landscapes located just moments from the city.

As we paddle along, take in the unique plant life characteristic of the wetlands, and keep an eye out for two local crab species residing in the area's estuaries and marshes—the chama maré crab and the catanhão crab.

Weather permitting, we will pause for a delightful swim, so remember to bring your swimsuit!

At the conclusion of our three-hour kayak journey, we will return back to where our adventure began in Imbé.
