Discover the enchanting Widow's Cave and its shimmering lagoons in this remarkable excursion. Participants will also have the opportunity to partake in an authentic Inca-style gold panning experience.

Excursion to Widow's Cave

The adventure begins at 8 am at the Hospedaje Los Incas, where we will set off for the cave and ravine of La Viuda, situated just 3 miles from Puerto Inca.

Our first destination is the cave of La Viuda, a modest yet renowned cavern featuring ancient pre-Inca engravings. As we navigate through the cave's lush surroundings, you will have the chance to admire these remarkable bas-reliefs.

Following our exploration of the cave, we will head to the ravine of La Viuda, a stunning natural spa with crystalline waters. Here, you will enjoy some leisure time to engage in various activities, including swimming or fishing.

At 12:30 pm, we will reconvene for a delicious lunch, after which you’re welcome to further explore the captivating Amazon rainforest. After a fulfilling day of discovery, our return journey to Puerto Inca will lead us back by around 4 pm.

Gold Panning Activity

If you seek an adventurous gold panning experience in the Viuda cave, this option is available for booking. Participants will utilize the bateo method, an ancient technique that involves filling a container with sand and gravel before immersing it in water. See who can unearth the most gold nuggets! This engaging activity will take place after our visit to the cave, followed by lunch with the rest of the group.
