Xilitla & Tamasopo 2-Day Journey

Day 1: San Luis Potosí - Xilitla

At the arranged time, you will be collected from your accommodation in San Luis Potosí to embark on the journey to Xilitla, a remarkable town that exemplifies the synergy between humanity and nature.

Upon a 5-hour drive, we will reach the Sculpture Garden of Edward James located in Las Pozas. Here, over 30 artistic creations will unfold before your eyes amidst an 8-hectare woodland, showcasing Gothic and Egyptian stylistic elements. Enjoy an informative discussion as you explore the myriad of staircases that lead to nowhere, along with castles, unique homes, and soaring columns.

Subsequently, our visit to the Magic Town of Xilitla will bring us to the Leonora Carrington Sculpture Museum. This museum celebrates one of Mexico's foremost artists and a significant contributor to the surrealism movement. An insightful narrative will accompany your view of the displayed sculptures, jewelry, engravings, and personal artifacts from her life.

Afterward, you will have the afternoon free to explore Xilitla at your own pace and indulge in the local culinary delights. Rest well!

Day 2: Xilitla - Tamasopo - San Luis Potosí

Welcome to day two! We will start with a satisfying breakfast, followed by a visit to the renowned Tamasopo Waterfalls, nestled amidst lush wilderness. Here, you can unwind to the soothing sounds of a waterfall plunging from a height of 65 feet (20 meters).

Next, we will make our way to the Bridge of God, a spectacular cave adorned with natural stalactites and stalagmites. Home to a striking turquoise water eye, this tranquil spot is ideal for relaxation.

Before heading back to San Luis Potosí, you will enjoy some leisure time until 4:30 pm to have lunch. We will ensure you are returned to your hotel by 9:30 pm.
