Description

Created by volcanic activity between 50 and 60 million years ago, this stunning complex of 40,000 interlocking basalt columns is today one of the symbols of Ireland and a must-see attraction.

Giant’s Causeway, Dunluce Castle, & Belfast Tour

The tour departs from Parnell Square North, heading northwards into Northern Ireland, reaching the very tip of the island, just a short distance from Scotland.

The journey begins with a photo stop at the picturesque medieval ruin known as Dunluce Castle. Dating back to the 13th century, this castle is perched dramatically on a cliff edge. It offers a fantastic backdrop for photographs.

Next, we will visit the Giant's Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage site and considered the '8th wonder of the world'. While the official account claims that these remarkable stone pillars were formed through volcanic activity, local legends tell of the giant Finn McCool constructing the causeway as a bridge to confront a Scottish rival. You will have 2 hours here to capture images and admire the structure, with some columns towering as high as 40 feet (12 meters).

Following this, we will explore the Dark Hedges. These beech trees, planted 350 years ago, create a mystical passage that feels charged with a mysterious atmosphere. You'll have 30 minutes to walk, take photographs, and perhaps catch a glimpse of the grey lady rumored to haunt the area. Fans of Game of Thrones may recognize this location as the path Arya Stark travels on her way to join the Night's Watch.

On our return to Dublin, we will stop in the other Irish capital, Belfast, where you will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to explore. You can take pictures of the stunning City Hall, wander the main shopping streets, and enjoy local cuisine. Notable spots include the Crown Bar and the Big Fish, alongside Albert's Clock, providing various opportunities for photography.

The tour concludes with a return to Dublin, arriving between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm.
